Winter is looming and Foodbank WA will have plenty of cold, hungry bellies to feed.

Foodbank WA Hearty Trivia Night is back bigger than ever - helping raise funds to buy canned soup and provide warm meals for those who won't have enough to eat during our bitter cold months.

More than 300 people attended last year's event, which raised more than $28,000 for much-needed supplies.

It was enough to buy roughly 10,400 cans of soup - or nine pallets worth.

This year's event will be held from 6pm on Friday, April 28 at Foodbank's Centre for Hunger Relief, Perth Airport.

Comedian Janelle Koenig is quiz master, ensuring the night will be filled with laughter, games, prizes and a fantastic auction to kickstart the fundraising efforts.

Koenig - a regular on TV and radio, has performed at the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Melbourne Fringe Festival, the first St Kilda Laugh Fest and the Brisbane Impro Fest.

What better way to start a weekend - than helping the less fortunate while enjoying a laugh.

Foodbank, the largest hunger relief organisation in Australia, provided more than 63 million meals last year to frontline charities and schools to help feed the hungry.

In Western Australia, the not-for-profit relies on donated food and funds to feed more than 53,000 people a month. They also deliver a range of food education programs throughout the state to promote healthy eating.

So what are you waiting for? Book a table of eight for just $160, pre-order a meal or a platter for the table, have an entertaining night out and help to make sure that no one goes hungry this winter.
