In 2018, I'd like to live in a kinder, more compassionate Australia. What do you hope the new year brings for this amazing country of ours?

By nature, Aussies are often quick to come to the aid of our fellow man, but paradoxically, also quick to judge those who are less fortunate.

I hope to leap into a kinder, less judgmental 2018.

If only we were first willing to put ourselves in that other person's shoes.

This touching video from SBS's The Feed -- focusing on the inside story of three beautiful children living in poverty, and their individual back stories -- triggered many emotions in me.

But most importantly, it sparked a yearning for a return to an Australia that put compassion and kindness first.

Check it out. Then join the discussion by letting us know what you wish for this beautiful country of ours in 2018.
